Did you know that Article II of the US Constitution states that presidents may be impeached if they are convicted of “treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors?” The process is kicked off by a vote by the House of Representative and is followed by a formal impeachment trial in the Senate.
Trump himself has been the most Googled searched person of 2016. In addition asking “will President Trump be impeached”? Washington attorney – Bruce Fein says Trump has a 50-50 chance of committing impeachable offenses.
When asked about Trump’s presidency today on the View, Charlie Sheen referred to the letter that screenwriter Aaron Sorkin wrote to his wife and daughter after the election. He said it’s a beautiful letter and specifically agreed with Sorkin in believing that “Trump will commit an impeachable crime within the first 12 months of his presidency.”
“Unlike Trump’s crimes yet to come, the illegal acts in Trump’s high-pressure wealth seminars have already occurred. A federal judge appointed under Article III of the US Constitution has already determined that Trump’s alleged actions, if true, constitute fraud and racketeering.” Could the congress be well within its legal rights under the Constitution to insist upon a president who is not a fraudster or a racketeer as defined in its own law?”
Why do you think Trump settled the Trump fraud University case for $25 million dollars? Which brings us to more questions like: what happened to the young woman that alleges she was raped by Trump and another man when she was 13 years old? What happened to the 12+ women that screamed out foul play during the presidential debates that Trump committed sexual assault?
Things like this just don’t “go away”.
Aaron Sorkin wrote a letter to his daughter and added ~ “Roxy, I know my predictions have let you down in the past, but personally, I don’t think this guy can make it a year without committing an impeachable crime. If he does manage to be a douche nozzle without breaking the law for four years, we’ll make it through those four years. And three years from now we’ll fight like hell for our candidate and we’ll win and they’ll lose and this time they’ll lose for good. Honey, it’ll be your first vote”.
Remember the bombshell tape released in October 2016 when Trump spoke in crude terms about his pursuit of an unnamed woman and claimed that his celebrity status enabled him to “do anything” to women, including “grab them by the p—y?” After all the tape was released prior to the election and the Electoral College still voted for Trump, despite the fact that 74 million people voted against Trump.
Now with the latest news, breaking from Buzzfeed News it seems that Trump has actual ties to Russia. A collection of memos written over a period of months includes specific, unverified, and potentially unverifiable allegations of contact between Trump aides and Russian operatives, and graphic claims of sexual acts documented by the Russians. Buzzfeed News reporters in the US and Europe have been investigating various alleged facts in the dossier but have not verified or falsified them. CNN reported Tuesday that a two-page synopsis of the report was given to President Obama and Trump.
With this information, if true – Trump has been compromised and could be blackmailed from Russia and/or Putin for political gain and /or wealth in America. Perhaps financial gain by putting Rex Tillerson in as Secretary of State when he’s the CEO of Exxon with oil ties all over the world could be beneficial to Putin by lifting the sanctions that President Obama has ordered.
Robert Kuttner recently wrote ~”It’s not enough to contain him. Trump needs to be removed from office—and there is only one constitutional way.”~
So now, with ЯepubliCons controlling both the House and the Senate, it is totally unlikely Trump will ever face impeachment. If Democrats were to pursue impeachment and were successful, they would still have to contend with Trump’s ultra-conservative and politically-savvy vice president-elect, Mike Pence. Yikes x2.
