Trump has changed gears again and will ask the American Tax payer to pay for his wall along the border with Mexico, rather than ask Mexico to pay for it as he stated many times on the campaign trail.

Trump’s Transition Team is expected to seek support from Republicans in Congress who have the power to fund it through the appropriations process. Exactly were those funds would come from out of the budget is not known.

According to CNN, The Trump team argues it will have the authority through a Bush-era 2006 law to build the wall, lawmakers say, but it lacks the money to do so. Transition officials have told House GOP leaders in private meetings they’d like to pay for the wall in the funding bill, a senior House GOP source said.

The recent suggestion by a Maryland Sheriff that inmates could be used might make the funding issue a little more palatable.County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson , who supports Trumps wall, suggested Wednesday that an inmates labor force be used.

“I’m making a formal offer Hodgson said, to Trump that Bristol County inmates and other inmates across the land can be used though Project N.I.C.E. and will help build this wall,” Hodgson said through ANC6 News.
