Vice President Elect Mike Pence said today it will be a long effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and it may take several months to develop a replacement that suits the conservative agenda.

Meanwhile, President Obama met with Democrats on the Hill and urged them not to help the Republicans by bailing them out.The president met for about two hours today with Charles E Shummer (D-NY), Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Frederica S Wilson, a Florida Democrat. Either Obama or those he met with today took answers from reporters before or after the meeting.

Regarding the ACA issue, The Trump Transition Team are considering ways of stripping down healthcare benefits that insurers currently must provide.

The GOP would not say if they would immediately end the healthcare taxes that were created to help pay for the Obama’s plan, but some lawmakers insisted the taxes must be removed immediately, even if it’s decided to delay the repeal plan.
