President Obama plans to deliver a farewell speech to the nation on Tuesday, Jan. 10, from Chicago, IL. The President has indicated he plans to highlight his economic and social program progress that’s been made during his term in office.

He said the nation has faced many challenges and come through them for the better, and that the nation is stronger than it was when he took office in 2009.

In an email to supporters Monday Obama said that “together, we can change this country for the better.” Obama further stated that he is thankful for the “amazing journey,” and the address planned is his way of saying thank you to the American people.
